Learn how to make a cool bevel effect that can be used in a myriad of ways.
1.
As the name suggests, this tutorial uses a lot of beveling. First,
create a platonic, make it editable, and turn on the polygon tool. I
used this platonic, but any will do:

2.
Then, go to Structure > Edit Surface > Matrix Extrude. Use the
default settings. Youll now have something like what's on the left.

3.
Now, select one polygon, then hit Ctrl + A to select all. Now, equip
the Structre > Bevel tool, and click the shape, and drag the mouse
to the right. The shape will bevel, and creast some more polygons.

4.
Now, again, hit Ctrl + A, and do a bevel in the reverse direction.

5.
Again, hit Ctrl + A, and do another bevel.

6.
Do this until you get something you like, then go to Objects > NURBS
> Hyper NURBS. Drag the platonic into the nurbs, apply some
materials, and render it.
