Easter Eggs

Easter eggs you say. What is an Easter egg? An Easter egg is a bit of fun code created by developers and then hidden inside a program. I don’t know if “Easter Eggs” are official or not, but they do exist. I guess they keep program developers sane! Otherwise, their jobs can become quite dull, nothing but code, code, and more code.

Easter Eggs normally consist of games or other fun stuff, hidden inside most programs on the market, including Flash MX, 2004, Professional, and Educational versions. One of these hidden secrets will be revealed to you in this tutorial.

I originally learned about this particular “Easter Egg” through Rabid's posting since they don't write about this stuff in books!.

Flash MX 2004 / MX 2004 Pro:

  1. Open the program
  2. Go to: Help > About Flash (or About Flash Professional)
  3. Underneath the logo you will see the words: 2004TM
  4. Click on the: TM
  5. Note: You will probably need to click several times as the button is only 1px by 1px. Eventually your mouse will stumble onto the right place.

  6. You will then see the following:

The six hidden games that you can find in Flash MX 2004

Flash MX:

  1. Open the program
  2. Go to: Help > About Flash
  3. You will see the words: Flash MX
  4. Click just under the crutch of the: X
  5. Note: It's hard to get the exact spot so just keep clicking until you get the right place.

  6. You will then see the games as above.

Have Fun !!
