Spot Light


1. Open a new document by clicking on File -> New. Change background color to Black.

2. Import some images into library. Change the Layer's name to Background. Drag any picture on the stage. Resize to fit on the stage.

3. Copy the image and add a new layer with name 'Copy Background', Edit -> paste in place to place the picture exactly over previous one.

4. Hide Copy Background layer, on background layer click on the image on the stage and click Insert -> Convert to Symbol. Choose Graphic and name the symbol as 'Background'.

5. On properties palette, find color box and select Brightness, change Brightness value to -88%. Lock and hide this layer. Extend frames of both the layers to 70.

6. Add a new layer with name 'Mask'. Make a circle on the top of the image. Copy this circle, add a new layer with name 'light' and paste in place on that layer. Hide light layer for instance.

7. Back to the mask layer, animate the circle in different directions. Lock this layer.

8. Click on window->Color Mixer. Choose radial from combo box. Use white with alpha value of 66% for left color and white with alpha value 16% for right color. Use this color in your circle in light. Animate this circle exactly over the mask circle.

9. Mask the Mask layer and Unhide all layers.

Spot Light effect is ready. Hope you will like it.
