If you ever come to make your own social website, guestbook, back end system etc. you might want to have a few icons to display different actions. This Photoshop tutorial will teach you how to make your own delete icon.
Make a new document (Ctrl + N) and size 256x256. Make a new layer
(Shift + Ctrl + N), name this layer "border", and with the Elliptical
Marquee tool (M) make a circle while holding the Shift key. Fill the
selection with black. Now transform the selection (Right click selection
> Transform Selection). While holding down the Alt + Shift key make
the selection a bit smaller and then Apply the selection. Delete the
inner circle to get something like this:
![]()
With the selection still active make a new layer, call this layer
"middle" and fill it with any color you like. I filled it with a green
color.
![]()
Now with the Text tool (T) write a "+" and find a font that works for
you. Transform the layer (Ctrl + T) and turn it 45 degrees and then
duplicate it.
![]()
Now we need to apply quite a lot of Blending Options starting with the border layer (Right click > Blending Options).

When that is done start applying these settings to the middle layer.

Apply these settings to the first text layer.

And now apply this last setting to the second text layer.

You should now have a result like this.
![]()
