The Fangtastic Tutorial
Step 1: Click on the 'Polygonal Lasso Tool'
Step 2: Cut the tooth out as shown below using the Polygonal Lasso Tool and paste it onto a new layer (ctrl+c, ctrl+v).

Correcting Overexposed Detail Using Channels
You can use up to 10 channels, including RGB, CMYK, and Lab in hard cases. But in the given example RGB channels were enough to make the picture better and give it more volume.
