Realistic Decals


Add realistic decals to a vehicle without removing reflections.


image 1 1. Open the image for editing.

image 2 2. Paste the decal into the image as a new layer.

image 3 3. Use the "Transform" tool (Ctrl+T) to distort the decal to the area where the decal will be placed.

image 4 4. Add a new layer mask (Layer> Add Layer Mask> Reveal All) to the current layer.

image 5 5. Use the eraser tool (E) to erase the areas where the decal should not be (ex. tires and lights).

image 6 6. With the layer mask selected, use the "Apply Image" tool (Image> Apply Image) to apply the following properties:

Source: filename
Layer: Background
Channel: RGB
Blending: Subtract
Opacity: Adjust accordingly to the opacity of the decal.
Scale: 1
Offset: 0

Click OK.
