1. First create a new document, I used a size of 400x100 and a background color of white (#ffffff.)
2. Now with the text tool write in your text, I used the word 'Design' with a large font.
3. In the layers palette, right-click the text layer and go into the Blending Options... click and apply the following layer styles(settings):
You should be left with a result like this:
4. Lastly we'll add those cool highlights.
First create a new layer, then select the text (Hold CTRL and click the layer thumbnail.)
Now get a select tool then move the selection up 2 pixels, fill the selection with white, move the selection up another 1 pixel then press delete.
Lower the opacity for this highlight layer to 80% and change the layer mode to Overlay.
You should be left with a result like this:
Create another new layer, then select the text again. Contract the selection by about 2 pixels (Select > Modify > Contract)
Now fill the selection with white, press the down arrow key once, then press delete.
Apply a similar style to this layer as the last one, I used 70% opacity and Overlay.
