Step 1
Make a new document of 500x500 pixels. Make a new layer. Select
the Eliptical Marquee Tool and make a fixed size of 150x150 and centre it.
Fill the background with a nice light green (#A3FF6C). You can use any colour
you like, but it works best with a light colour. |
Step 2
Now start by right mouse clicking on the orb layer, in your layers
palette and click Blending options. Go to Gradient Overlay and enter in
the settings as shown below: |
Step 3
Now select the Bevel and Emboss Properties and enter in the settings
as shown below: |
Step 4
Now select the Inner Shadow Properties and enter in the settings
as shown below: |

You should now have something which looks similar to this the image
below, if you do then simply carry on.. |
Step 5
Now to give it a nice lighting effect, lets start by going to Select
> Modify > Contract, and enter in 10 pixels. Then again go to Select
> Modify > Feather, and enter in 10 pixels. |
Step 6
Now we are going to add the lighting effect. Grab your Gradient
Tool, screenshot
of tool. And make your foreground colour white. Now enter in these settings
which you appear above.
Now try to hold shift and make a diagonal line as shown below: |
Final Results
Now you should have something similar to this, try add some text
if you really like, it will bring out the nice green orb. Hope you enjoyed
