Dark and Light Effect

Step 1

Open any women picture in photoshop.

Step 2

Choose Layer > Duplicate Layer.

Step 3

Press Ctrl+Shift+U key on the keyboard or choose Image > Adjustments > Desaturate, to convert your picture into a black and white.

Step 4

Then, set Opacity from layers palette to 50%. See the picture below.

Step 5

Choose Layer > Duplicate Layer, and after that choose Linear Light from blending mode in layers palette, and set opacity to 87%. Look at the picture below!

Step 6

Create a new layer, under foreground color set this color: #443D3D, take the Paint Bucket Tool (G), and click on the picture to fill it (Alt+Backspace).

Step 7

Then, in layers palette under blending mode choose Overlay, and set Opacity to 87%. Look at the picture below!

Step 8

Choose Filter > Noise > Add Noise. Then, set the options from the picture below!

Step 9

Choose Filter > Stylize > Solarize.

Step 10

Choose Layer > New Adjustment Layer > Levels. Then, set the options from the picture below.

Step 11

Choose Layer > New Adjustment Layer > Curves, and set the options from the picture below.

Step 12

Choose Layer > New Adjustment Layer > Color Balance, and set the options from the picture below.

Finally, our work looks like this:
