Usually the shapes are used in vector graphics,I am introducing vector art with swish.
Method:
1. Select the ellipse, draw an ellipse then select the tool "reshape" (also you can experiment other swish tools for that but reshape tool would used as same".
2. Now left click on the dots of this ellipse and move it to the desired direction.
3. If you want to select any colour then select your object, now there is a tab named "SHAPE" , there you have the option for the colour selection.
4. There are different options for an ellipse, now if you want to color this ellipse (as am using this one) as a solid shape then simply select "SOLID" and select the desired colour.
5. On the contrary if you want to make this ellipse as a shady shape then select the option named "SOLID" now there are 2 options which are "Linear Gradient and Radial Gradient",select one of them, now there are 2 arrows one is black and another is white. Click on the Black arrow (the pointer) and select any desired colour, secondly select the white arrow and select another colour to apply different shades.
6. Another way, if you want to insert any image in ellipse then click on the button "solid" or may be "Fill" now there are two options to apply an image now its your choice that what you want to apply but remember you have to tile/clip any image from your "BROWSER".
Your desired shape:
1. Its your choice that what you want to draw but remember that (first fix your movie size) if you'll not fix it before drawing of shape and you'll fix it after the designing then the quality of the shape will be changed.
2. If you want to draw any doll or bear or cartoon (which contains the head or face) then it is the best way that you have to start your Shape from face, first design the eyes, eye brows, nose, lips and face cut.
3. Now draw the complete body or structure and do all the same with ellipse (explained).
4. Remember: make groups of all the body for example separate group of face, another of hair, and separate group of the body.
The simple designing techniques are complete, you can also include other objects as it depends on your design.
Regards
