Applying the Pen Tool (P) on the sphere's surface, it's possible to introduce the element of volume on the sphere, having the color FAFAFA.

image 8

Set the Blending Mode - Color Dodge on the layers and click on the Add a Mask option. The Eraser Tool (E) will be helpful in erasing the unnecessary elements.

image 9

Using the Ellipse Tool (U), try to draw an apple's silhouette (the famous logotype of the Apple computers). Using next option Add Anchor Point Tool, insert several heights on the sphere.

Applying the Convert Point Tool, try to move them on the central part. Press the Alt button and apply the Ellipse Tool (U) to cut out a part of the apple from its right side.
