Step 1
First make sure you have a nice logo for this tutorial.
Step 2
Open a new document that is bigger than your business card. Next use the Rectangular Marquee Tool and make a rectangle the size of your business card. Fill it with white. Double click this layer to get to its Layer Style. Apply a 1px #888888 Stroke so you can see it.
Step 3
Now apply a Drop Shadow under the Layer Style. Color to #888888, Distance to 0, Spread to 0, and Size to 8.
Step 4
Next you want to add your contact info to your card. I like light gray over black for the font color. Make sure the name and title are bolded. The name on the card should have the largest font followed by the title and then the contact info. Use a different color for either name or title to let it stand out. Use a color similar to the color on your logo.
Step 5
To give your card some style, I like to enlarge my logo and display a portion of it on the card with a faded look. Look at the picture for reference.
Step 6
Finally add a border on your card. I added one at the bottom. Set the color of the border to the color of your logo.
Step 7
Next we're going to create the front of the business card. Make a rectangle similar to the one in step 2. Apply the stroke and drop shadow.
Step 8
Now add the name of your company/business onto the card. Make sure you center the text and that it's of a good size.
Step 9
Add the logo onto the center of the card.
Step 10
Finally add the same border style on the card. I used an orange border at the bottom.
