This is the finished product from this tutorial, Christmas lights!
I am going to show step by step how to do it. Make a selection like this one, with the Polygonal Lasso Tool.
Now go to select > Modify > Smooth. Give a value of 6.
Create a new layer and fill with red. Then go to Blending Options (right click of the mouse) and choose inner shadow. Use the following settings.
Now for the reflex of the lightning, create a new layer. Press shift while painting a line (brush tool) with white color (#FFFFFF). Then, rotate this line and put it on the left. Next to it, apply Filter > Blur > Gaussian blur on the line. Ok, you have the reflex.
Now let's create the support. Create a new layer, and with the rectangular marquee tool, create a selection just like this one. Fill it with any color. Then go to it's blending options and choose "Gradient Overlay". Use a gradient Overlay like in the picture.
The last part, with a black brush, paint the bottom of the red light.
You are done! Now it's you and your creativity!
That's it, I hope you liked the tutorial. Perfect for the Christmas season.
