Clap Stick

We'll begin this tutorial, by creating a new canvas at a size of 350 x 166.

Next, select the "Rounded Rectangle Tool". Draw a rectangle as illustrated below with a radius of 2 pixels and color Black. Name this layer "Board".

Draw a rectangle as illustrated below with a radius of 2 pixels and color ff9c00 again using the "Rounded Rectangle Tool". Name this layer "Clapboard".

Next, create a new canvas and create the below pattern. Or, you can download the pattern here.

Now right click on the "Clapboard" layer and select, "Blending Options...". Now click on "Inner Shadow".

Do not click "OK" yet. Still more to do.

Now click on "Gradient Overlay".

Do not click "OK" yet. Still more to do.

Now click on "Pattern Overlayclapstick".

You may now click OK.

You should now have the following image.

Next, duplicate the "Clapboard" layer, then go to "Edit" then "Free Transform" and angle as I have done below. Then position it as the below image illustrates.

Now grab the "Pen Tool" and draw the below shape with Black as the color. Name this layer "Stick Holder".

Now right click on the "Stick Holder" layer and select, "Blending Options...". Now click on "Drop Shadow".

Do not click "OK" yet. Still more to do.

Now click on "Gradient Overlay".

You may now click OK.

You should now have the below image.

Select the "Text Tool" and use the below settings:

Now type your prefered text along with some lines created by the "Line Tool".

Then go to "Edit" then "Free Transform" and angle as I have done below. To do this, hold in the "Ctrl" key on the keyboard and click on the top middle square (like an anchor point) and drag down toward the left.

The Results!!!

Now go to the main menu and select "Filter" then "Blur" and lastly "Guassian Blur". Put in 1.5 for the setting and click OK. Then turn the Fill down to 43% and your finished.
