We'll begin this tutorial, by creating a new canvas at a size of 266 x 145 with 3e3e3e as the background color. Then select the "Pen Tool". Draw the below shape as illustrated using 8b7c15 as the color. Call this layer "Pipe".

You should now have the below image.

Now "Ctrl" click the "Pipe" layer to create a selection around it and choose the "Brush Tool" at a size of 15, with a soft egde brush--about 25%. Create a new layer then change the foreground color to Black. Brush along the bottom inside edge of the selection. Name this layer "Shading". Now turn the Fill down to 7%.

Create yet another layer, name it "Highlight", and change the foreground color to f4f410 and change the Blending Mode to "Color Dodge". Grab the "Brush Tool" with a hard size of 3 and brush in the following curved line. Take your time. It doesn't need to be perfect, but do try to stay in the center of the pipe.

Next, duplicate the "Segment" layer and turn the eye off on the first segment layer in the Layers Palette and merge both segment layers together.

Now "Ctrl" click the "Pipe" layer to create a selection around it and go to the main menu and click on "Select" then "Modify" and lastly "Contract" set it to 1 and click OK. Now go to "Select" then "Feather" and for a setting put 2. Lastly, go to "Select" then "Inverse". Hit Delete on your keyboard and deselect the selection.
