How to Make a House or Apartment Website Logo or Banner
This tutorial will demonstrate how to make a house or apartment website logo or banner. You will need to use the pencil and one specific brush for the dirty effect. You will need to know how to create layer styles (specifically stroke layer styles for borders). Maybe there would be some fonts that won't be available in your computer. If that's your case, you can use other ones and follow the same steps
1. Start by creating a 90x145px white background image. Zoom in, by 200%. Select the Pen Tool (P) and create a path like what I have done below. If you want, you can create another path.
2. Now go Window > Paths. The Paths Window will appear, click on "Load path as a selection" (See the image below). You will select all the area inside the path. Create a new layer and fill the selection with Black color.
3. Then, load the path as a selection again and go Selection > Modify > Contract. In "Contract By", write 1 and Click Ok. Delete the selection and you will get only a border (See the image below).
4. Create another layer. Load the path we created before as a selection and fill it with #C2D13F.
5. After that, go Selection > Transform Selection. You will need to move the image and to contract the selection. The new layer needs to be under the previous layer (See the image below).
6. Create another layer. Load the path we created previously as a selection. Now you will need to use the Brush Tool (B) and create the same effect using the brush. You can use a different brush size or style.
7. Now you will need to use the Type Tool (T) and create the "Live" text. Use Book Antiqua Font, Regular, size 15px.
8. Use the Type Tool (T) again and create the "R E N T" text. Use Franklin Gothic Medium Font, Regular, size 45px. You can use any other font if you want. After that, you have to select and delete some part of the text (See the result below). You have to Rasterize the "R E N T" text and make some modifications like moving the each letter of the text a little lower.
9. Finally, you will need to apply a layer style (Layer > Layer Style > Stroke). In the Stroke properties window, set size: 1, position: outside, color: Black. Click Ok.
