Interface Head

Step 1

Ok this tutorial is going to take some time, and you need to be experienced with photoshop to do this. This is going to teach you how to do those crazy interfaces. This one is a skull looking thing. Ok first step open up a new document, a large size. Color the background this color 333333. Then grab the elliptical marquee tool and draw something like this. Color it in with a brighter grey.

OK now make it a gradient. Make it blend in with the background but not to much. This is what I came up with.

OK, now comes the complicated part. Were going to duplicate this circular gradient. Then go to edit/transform/and scale. Then make it look something like this.

Step 4

OK now click apply. Then go to you layer palette, and go click the button the arrow is pointing to in the image. Then go to levels and play around with it until you make it look 3d, but also blend it.

Step 5

Keep doing this, little by little until you make it look like something you want. This is what I came up with.

OK now your going to need to make to little circles. So go head and make a new layer, then make color in the two little circles. Once you do that, for each circle go to edit/transform/rotate, and then rotate it so it goes to the side of the head.. Sort of like this.

Step 7

After you've done that, make both of the eyes gradients so they blend in with the head.

Step 8

Inside those circles, make two smaller circles and make them around this color 333333. Give them each a stroke of one pixel black. Then do the whole orb thing, and make the eyes look glassy. The way you do that is by making smaller white circles inside that circle and make its opacity about 13. You should have something that looks like this.

Step 9

Ok now its time to make the nose. This is very simple. Just make a egg shape in the middle of the eyes. Then make it a gradient so one size blends in with the background and the other size is white. Then make the opacity to something that looks nice. Sort of like this,

Step 10

Ok, step ten were going to make a mouth. Just grab rounded rectangular tool and draw something like this, and also make it a gradient so it Blends in. Now were going to do the thing we did with the head. Keep duplicating it and keep working with the levels until you get something you like.

Step 11

Ok now were going to draw the mouth. So grab the circle tool, and fill in the circle. Then cut out little bits to make it look like this. Do this for both the upper lip and bottom lip. Work with the gradients to make it blend in, and also to get the best results work with the levels. I came up with this.

Step 12

Now were going to add the teeth. Go and open a new document and draw some teeth with a one pixel brush. Merge all layers. Then grab the burn tool, and dodge tool and play around with it until you get something you like.You should have something like this once the teeth are done.

Step 13

Now cut out the teeth and put it in the interfaced head.

Step 14

Now use your imagination, try using some wires or something add some more things to it and you love what you come up with. Remember the best and most professional design is the one you make your self. This is my final image.
