Logo Drawing

Author: Epleweb More by this author

I was just messing around with Photoshop and some layer styles I had (probably got them from different tutorials I've done), and for some reason I started making this logo (it may be more like a banner, though). I think it looks quite nice, so here's how you make it:

Start by making a new image. Make it large enough so you have some space to work with. Select the Elliptical Marquee Tool and use these settings:

Once you've selected the area make a new layer and fill the selected area with a color of your choice. I used #006699. You can now deselect it (Ctrl+D). Now use the following layer styles:

You don't need to use color overlay like I did when these screenshots were taken.

Create a new layer and select the type tool. I used a font called Kubra_bold. Set the color to white and type whatever text you want.

Now it's time to add some layer styles to the text. Remember that you may have to adjust these settings slightly if you use another font or fontsize than mine:

Your logo should now look something like mine. Adding symbols or other objects and giving them the same style as the text will look even nicer.
