Love Heart Picture

1. Start with opening the document that contains the image you want to transform into a love heart shape. Now create a new layer then select 'Custom Shape Tool' - check the following settings:

2. Using the settings above create the shape by drop and dragging the cursor over the photo/image (the color isn't important, but i used red) - now in the 'layer' window hold 'ctrl' and left click on the heart shaped layer, this will get the outline of the heart.

3. Now select your photo/image in the layer window (don't lose the outline of the heart shape) - now right click on the document and click 'select inverse' - hit the delete key and you should get:

4. Create a new layer and bring it to the back of the 'layer pile' - this will become the background. Pick a nice color and fill the layer with it. Now duplicate the 'heart shaped photo/image' layer, bring it to the middle of the 'layer pile' - now click 'Filter' > 'Blur' > Gaussian Blur' and enter the value: Radius:9 pixels. Finally go back to the original heart shaped layer (should be the top layer) select it! then go to 'Layer' > 'Layer Style' > 'Blending Options' enter these settings:
