Making Crystals (Part 2)

1. Create a new 500x500 pixel document with a resolution of 100 and name it Crystal. Now press D and fill the document (with Black). Now create a new layer, then select the polygonal lasso tool and create a shape similar to one in the picture to the right. Fill it with a dark blue. Keep the Selection.

2. Now contract the selection [by: 10 pixels]. Then feather the selection [by: 6 pixels]. Now fill it with a light blue. Then deselect.

3. Next, you copy the layer. In the origional layer, apply a gaussion blur with settings [Radius: 10-15]. Now set the layers opacity to: 50%.

4. Now select the copied layer and add a Bevel and Emboss Layer Style with THESE SETTINGS. There you have it, cool Crystals, Now you can duplicate the crystals and move position, distort, skew or rotate and you get many nice outcomes. Look at what I have made from this.
