Begin by creating a new file (File>New) with 450x450 px and 72 dpi.
Try to represent now the primary layer of the next sphere we want to draw on the central part of the picture. Use the Ellipse Tool (U) for this operation.
The layer's parameters:
Blending Options>Inner Shadow
Blending Options>Inner Glow
Blending Options>Gradient Overlay
Gradient's parameters:
Then we need to select the previous instrument to draw now the sphere's shadow that would have the black color. Place the layer we have mentioned under the sphere's layer:
The layer's parameters:
Opacity 70%
Blending Options>Outer Glow
Continue by processing the shadow. Using the Ellipse Tool (U), represent now the next shadow's layer, colored with 6EFF67. Place the layer in case under the sphere's layer too.
The layer's parameters:
Opacity 46%
Blending Options>Inner Glow
Selecting the last instrument, we have to represent now the last shadow's layer colored in black too, but don't forget to place the layers in the correct manner.
The layer's parameters:
Blending Mode-Difference
Blending Options>Outer Glow
We have to choose the same instrument applied before to represent the shadows and the lighter zones on the sphere. First we need to represent the outside edges and then press the Alt button to cut out two ellipses on the primary sphere.
The layer's parameters:
Blending Options>Inner Glow
Blending Options>Gradient Overlay
Gradient's parameters:
Applying the Ellipse Tool (U), try to represent a flare now and mark out its lowest top. Select after that the Convert Point Tool to place the flare the way it is shown below:
The layer's parameters:
Fill 0% on the layers.
Blending Options>Gradient Overlay
Gradient's parameters:
Make a copy of the new made layer and select the Free Transform option to turn the layer over. The Convert Point Tool will be helpful in correcting the figure's shape and changing its parameters:
The layer's parameters:
Fill 0% on the layers.
Blending Options>Gradient Overlay
Gradient's parameters:
Try to draw a flare now along the left edge, applying the previous instrument. Begin by creating the outside edges and then press the Alt button to cut out the unnecessary elements.
The layer's parameters:
Fill 0% on the layers.
Blending Options>Gradient Overlay
Gradient's parameters:
Pick up the Custom Shape Tool (U) to choose from the next shown table the cliche we need and place it on the sphere's central part.
The cliche's color should be C5F30A.
The layer's parameters:
Blending Options>Inner Shadow
Blending Options>Inner Glow
Blending Options>Stroke
Make a copy of the recently made layer and delete the unnecessary effects and then select the white color for the new copied layer. Make the corrections on its shape, lifting up the lowest top with Direct Selection Tool (A) and Convert Point Tool.
The layer's parameters:
Fill 50% on the layers.
The icon is finished!
