Rubik's Cube Pixel Art

Create a new image in Photoshop by using: File/New. Since we will be making pixel art you have to create a small picture and zoom way in so you can see the individual pixels. I made my picture 50x50 then I turned on the grid. To do this use View/Show/Grid and you can adjust the grid under preferences. The first step is to make a vertical line along the left edge of the image, 1 pixel wide and 24 long. (these pictures are greatly enlarged)

Now this part just takes a little time. Create 6 more lines. Each line will be 8 pixels over and 4 down until you reach the middle. Then it is 8 pixels over and 4 up. It should look like the image below.

Connect these by going 2 pixels over and 1 pixel down until the middle. Then go 2 pixels over and 1 pixel up. Look at the image below. Make 4 lines in this way. It should look like the image below.

To make the top of the cube continuing the 1 pixel up and 2 pixels over. Your image should look like this.

Here is my finished product. Use these techniques to make all sorts of iso sprites and images.
