Rusted Banner

Step 1: Open a new document about 400*150 pix with greyish background [#F2F2F2]

Using the Rectangle Tool make a rectangle in the center of the document with black color [#000000]

Step 2: Now right click on shape 1 in the layers tool and click on Blending Options

Now add the following effects :

so that you should have this very cool banner effect like this

Step 3: Now add your text using the Text Tool with #f3f3f3 color , I have used Ragey Font which is freely available in dafont.com

You should have this:

Step 4: Now using the Brush Tool with 9pix diameter and Normal Mode make a sort of pattern like I have made

You can also make your own pattern but make sure it is uniform so that you get a good uniform rust effect on your banner.

Step 5: Now go to Filter --> Stylize --> Diffuse and you should get a diffused effect. Now repeat the process 5-6 times until you are happy with the diffused effect and you should have this:

Step 6: Now reduce the opacity of the layer to about 18% in the layers window and you should get your final image!
