Open a new document by going to File, New...
Name your new document and make sure it is 500x500 pixels, 300dpi, and RGB color, for now.
Choose the Custom Shape tool, just under the Text tool in the Tools menu. The Custom Shape tool looks like a distorted star.
In the top menu bar, you will se the Shape menu.
Scroll through and select the Seal shape. It looks like a circle with even spikes all around.
Holding down the Shift key, draw your shape on your canvas.
You will see it reflected in your Layers menu.
Let's save our file now. Go to File, Save As... choose your folder to save to, and name your Photoshop file. I have named mine "100PercentGuarantee.psd"
Next, let's add a Layer Style, by going to Layer, Layer Style..., and let us add a simple drop shadow, Opacity 45%, Distance 8 px, Spread at 0%, and Size at 10 px.
Also, while we are in the Layer Style menu, let us add an Inner Glow. Choose a light golden colour, and make the Size 21.
Let us add a Pattern Overlay also, and make the Opacity 54%.
And lastly, for the Layer Style, let us add a Stroke. Change the color to black, and click Ok when you are ready.
Now, in the Tools menu, change the foreground color to black. And choose the Text tool.
Place your cursor, and type. A new type layer will be created. Type 100%.
Now in the Layers menu, click on this icon to create a new layer.
Then, with your Type tool selected again, type your new phrase. Hold down the Ctrl key and type the letter S, to Save. Or go to File, Save. Get used to saving.
Then, in the Layers menu, click on the icon that looks like an "f" (it is another way to add Layer Styles), and scroll down and select Gradient Overlay.
Set the Gradient Overlay to Blue, Red, Yellow, and the Scale at maximum.
And add Outer Glow, same color as the Inner Glow from before, and default settings with Size 5px. Click Ok.
Now, right click on the layer that we just added the effect to, and select Copy Layer Style, form the drop down menu.
Now, select our other text layer, and right click, and select Paste Layer Style.
And that is it, you have a Seal of Approval!!! Easy to make, and you can customize it easily by playing with the settings that we went through.
Don't forget Ctrl+S to Save.
Until Next Time
