Making Tentacles

Open your image. I used 300 x 300 pixels.

OK, I bet you've seen this tutorial a thousand times before, am I right? But it's so simple to do, and with it's great outcome, you'll soon be impressing everyone!

Pick your foreground color, I used 72A2E4, and for the background, FFFFFF.

Step1: Select your polygon lasso tool, and make a triangle like so:

Step 2: Go Layer>New Layer. Then fill your triangle in with the gradient tool:

Step3: Press Ctrl+D, and then go Filter>Distort>Shear. Make a wave like so:

Step 4: Press Ctrl+T, and drag the right box to the left.

Press enter

Add a Drop Shadow with these settings:

And a Inner shadow:

You should now have something like mine:
