Changing Rims

Step 1:

Find a picture of the car you want the rims changed.

Step 2:

In order for this rim change to look real, you need to find rims with the same perspective. You are going to want to find a picture with rims that are in the same direction or the exact opposite, so you can mirror it. Without the right rims, your rim change could end up looking really fake.

Step 3:

Take out your Elliptical Marquee Tool, and select the entire rim. Line up the one side of the rim with the top of the rim. You will get a perfect selection every time.

Step 4:

When you have your selection, press CTRL C to copy. Then move over to your car, and press CTRL V to paste. Put the rim in place.

Step 5:

Now we have to fit the rim in place. Set the opacity low so the rim is exactly as it should be. Go to Layer>>Layer Style>>Blending Options. Set the opacity at about 50%.

Step 6:

With the Rim layer selected, go to Edit > Free Transform. This will allow you to fit the rim perfectly in place.

Step 7:

Use the corners to size down the rim, each square can size your rim differently. If you need to move the rim itself when you are Transforming, just simply click it and move it. When you are done Transforming, click your Move Tool (V) on your tool box. A box will pop up asking "Apply Transformation?" Click apply.

Step 8:

Set your opacity back to 100%, when you are finished you will have a realistic rim change. When you are done with that, duplicate the layer, and Edit>>Free Transform it to fit the rear rim.
