Photo Toning - Black And White - Sepia - Unnatural Tones
Hey, we are going to see now an awesome way to change your photo colors to Black & White, Sepia, or any kind of color mixture that you want.
First thing first, choose a photo, size or quality is not a problem here, but getting a nice photo like ours is always cool.
For Black&White:
Step 1:
Go to Image - Mode - Grayscale
Now your photo is going to look like this, note that maybe the photo is too dark or to bright for your desired result, so...
Step 2:
Now select Image - Adjustments - Curves, and play a little with the curve, this will modify the overall color of your image; you can make it brighter, darker, more contrasted or simply tweak the shadows or lights.
We have done just a little change to our photo, make yours to get the perfect color.
For Sepia Tone:
Step 1:
Now we are going to see the steps to get an awesome Sepia Tone.
Double click on your background layer, rename it "Sepia", and now go to Window - Style.
And in the Styles window select "Sepia Tone", and that's all you got your basic sepia tone.
If you don't have the "Sepia Tone" in your Styles window, just load it, click on the little right arrow...
And select "Photographic Effects"
Done!, there you got your Sepia Tone.
Your photo is going to look something like this, cool isn't it?
Once again now you can tweak your colors using the curves tool (Image - Adjustments - Curves), or try the Levels tool (Image - Adjustments - Levels), with this two variations you will get an awesome result.
Note: In the Styles window, under Photographic Effects, you can find some more color filters to modify your photos, give them a try and discover all the great color/filter effects in photoshop.
