A lot of people adore Star Wars movie. The universe created in this movie is one of the most thought-out and impressive ever made in cinematograph. And the most striking citizens in it are Jedi Knights of course. And the opposite force is Sith Lords. In this tutorial I'll show you the transformation process of a human kind into colorful Sith.
So let's choose the picture of the future Sith. It can be the photo of a girl or a guy, it doesn't matter. I've selected the photo of Julia Sites.
For a start, go in Quick Mask (Q) mode and select the area of the face using Brush tool (B).
Go back to normal mode (Q) and apply Feather (Select>Modify>Feather) 2 px. Save the selection (Select>Save Selection...).
Now add red hues to the selected area of the face, make it darker and at the same time fade it a little (Ctrl+U). Use the following settings:
Next Deselect (Ctrl+D) and reduce the general settings of the picture: Lightness and Saturation (Ctrl+U).
Now we need to make lips and eyes more contrasting, similar to the most wicked and darkest Siths. Select the area around lips with the help of Quick Mask (Q), Feather (Select>Modofy>Feather) selection 2px, and apply the following Hue-Saturation settings (Ctrl+U).
In the same way select the eyes and 'fill them with fire'
Now darken some zones near the eyes, hair and other zones with the help of Burn tool (O).
And now the most interesting part of the work - the adding of the Siths' war paint. To do that choose any pattern and add it to the picture.
Set Blending Mode: Soft Light and shift it a little. After that select shape (Ctrl+Click on it), invert the selection (Ctrl+Shift+I), Feather selection (Select>Modify>Feather) 1px, then press Del for several times. Then reduce the opacity till about 40% .
Load the selection (Select>Load Selection...) that you've saved before, invert (Ctrl+Shift+I) the selection and press Del. After that remove some stripes on the neck using Eraser tool (E).
Almost done. Choose the layer with the photo and reduce the brightness with the help of Levels (Ctrl+L).
That's it. One more Sith Lord is ready for the future battles in Star Wars.
