Creating a Circle
1. Load Photoshop.
2. The first thing you'll want to do is make a new document. Go to File, New and choose a document size. 300 by 300 pixels will be enough for this tutorial.

3. To create a circle we'll need to use the Elliptical Marquee Tool. you can bring this up by pressing 'M' on your keyboard or by selecting it from the toolbox. If you see a square in place of the Elliptical Marquee Tool, simply click and hold the button until you get a little menu. Now, choose the second tool and release the mouse button.

4. Before you draw a circle on your document, it's a good idea to create a new layer for your object. Press Ctrl+Shift+N to create a new layer. Give your layer a name when the pop-up box comes up and click OK. You should see your new layer in the Layers box on the right of the screen.
5. Draw a circle on your new layer by clicking and dragging your cursor and then letting go. Now change the foreground and background colors to any colors of your choice in order to fill/stroke your object.

6. Right click inside your circle and choose Fill from the pop-up menu. Make sure Foreground Color is selected and click OK. To add a border to the circle choose Stroke from the pop-up menu and then set its width and color.
That's it! Just click outside the circle to deselect it and you've just made an object.
