A grungy texture created by randomly generated pipes.


image 1 1. Create a new document and add a Clouds filter (Filter> Render> Clouds).

image 2 2. Distort the image using the Extrude filter (Filter> Stylize> Edtrude) with these settings:

Type: Pyramids
Size: 30 Pixels
Depth: 30
Random: Selected
Mask Incomplete Blocks: Unchecked .


image 3 3. Add a Glowing Edges filter (Filter> Stylize> Glowing Edges) with these settings:

Edge Width: 4
Edge Brightness: 6
Smoothness: 5


image 4 4. Add a Water Paper filter (Filter> Sketch> Water Paper) with these settings:

Fiber Length: 15
Brightness: 60
Contrast: 80


image 5 5. Colorize the image using the Hue/Saturation tool (Ctrl+U). These are the settings I used:

Colorize: Checked
Hue: 25
Saturation: 100
Lightness: 0


image 6 6. Duplicate the layer (Ctrl+J) and change the blending mode to Overlay.

image 7 7. Add a Gaussian Blur filter (Filter> Blur> Gaussian Blur).
