Matrix symbols version 2

1. you could spend a couple of days on typing all those weird symbols that you see in the matrix movies, but here's a faster and easier way

take a random image, preferable a jpg or tiff, don't open it with photoshop, but open it with microsoft word, i wouldn't suggest that you open it with notepad, cause your pc will probably freeze, ms word does the trick for me, staroffice or some other editor will do just fine, check it out

2. select a big bunch of the text and copy it, go to photoshop, create a new document with a black background, select the vertical type tool and paste your symbols, give your symbols a small size (5-7 points) and a clean font such as courier, all it needs now is a green color such as #1db266. duplicate the layer and nudge it a few pixels.

looks familiar?

3. looks a bit messy huh? lets add a mask to both layers. select one of the text layers and hit the add vector mask button in the layers palette.

Go to filter > render > clouds and then go to image > adjustments > brightness/contrast (don't forget that the mask and not the text has to be selected!) move both sliders untill you get something you like. repeat this for the second text layer as well.

type your name in white, duplicate the layer, give it a green color and add a motion blur to it, move the green layer underneath the white one you are ready neo.
