Using several layers, create a realistic sky with clouds.

1. Create a new 800x600 pixels document and fill the background with a blue. The blue used in this step is #006CD9. |

2. Use the default foreground and background colours (D), create a new layer (Ctrl+Shift+N) and apply a "Clouds" filter (Filter> Render> Clouds). |

3. Use the "Brightness/Contrast" tool to apply the following properties:
Brightness: -25
Click OK. |

4. Use the "Perspective" transform tool (Edit> Transform> Perspective) to increase the distance of the top corners. |

5. Add a layer mask (Layer> New Layer Mask> Reveal All) to the current layer. |

6. With the layer mask selected, use the "Apply Image" tool to apply the following properties:

Gradient: White to Black

17. To create a sunset sky, invert (Ctrl+I) the layer "Background". |
