Sprayed Smoke Effect

1. Start with a blank canvas with a black background. Mine is 300x300.

2. Using the paintbrush, and any type of brush, the more random the better, draw

a bit of a squiggle down the middle. Here's mine.



3. Now apply Blur > Gaussian Blur with a radius of 1.0 px

4. Apply Filter > Distort > Ripple on 400%

5. Use Filter > Distort > Polar Coordinates and select the first option,

Rectangular to Polar.



6. Apply the Ripple effect again, 400% as usual.



7. Use Filter > Brush Strokes > Angled Strokes with the following settings.
Direction Balance: 50
Stroke Length: 27
Sharpness: 3

8. Now give your creation some colour by pressing Ctrl + U, and checking

Colorize. Move the sliders around until you find something you like. Here's my

final..



9. That may seem pretty pointless on it's own. So be creative and make something of it. I copied the layer, rotated 180 degrees, and added some text. Cool!
