Ok, I'v had a lot of people asking me about backgrounds, so to shut youup heres a tutorial on how to do backgrounds the way I do.
Start by going to file>new and setting your size... For this I am going to use 130x170 pixels for my sig. Yes, it is a vert sig so bare with me.
Andyways, make your background black by selecting the dump tool. Then make your color black and dump in the background. Then, do your brushing all on one layer or just collapse the layers by pressing Ctrj+E. This is mine so far:
Ok, now you must choose your render, now you will put it on top of your bruishing, this is easier done with big render but feel free to enlarge your render so that it takes up the whole sig... then go to filter>gaussian blur, and set points to 3.0.
Heres mine:
OK, now put this layer behind your brushing and duplicate it, put one in front of your brushing layer. Set the blending mode to overlay or softlight, which ever looks better. Now, duplicate your bruishing layer and put it in front of the render you just changed to overlay/softlight. Set the brushing layer'sblending mode to overlay or soft light, whichever looks better. Repeat that step untill you are happy with the way your background looks. Heres mine:
Now, add your render, text border whatever and enjoy! Heres my final:
Hope you ehjoyed this tutorial.
