Learn how to make am image look waterpainted in greyscale.

1. This is our subject, the beautiful Jessica Alba! Let's get started.

Step 1

2. First off we need to make the picture in grayscale. Click Image > Adjustments > Desaturate (or Shift+Ctrl+U). You should see something like the image on the left.

Step 2

3. Now to get some outlines going. Duplicate the layer by clicking Select > Duplicate Layer and click Filter > Stylize > Find Edges. Again you should see somelike like I have to the left.

Step 3

4. Now for the second last step. On the same layer as we did the Find Edges filter on, click Filter > Blur > Gaussian Blur. Use a setting of maybe 2 or 2.5. Compare with the image on the left to see how your doing.

Step 4

5. Final Step =D! On the layer we applied the Gaussian Blue to, change the ayer Properties to "Overlay." And now you should be done! Your image should look like what I have on the left.
