Fresh Font Effect

Step 1. File > New... >>

Width: 400 Pixels
Height: 100 Pixels
Mode: RGB Color
Contents: White

Step 2. Now select the Horizontal Type Tool out of the Tools bar. Then click anywhere on your image and type in something you would like to make the fresh effect on. Once you have put in your text just highlight it all and make shore the anti-aliasing displayed in the options is set to Strong. Also if you would like to know the font size in my image below is 45 pt.

Step 3. Once you have done that Rectangular Marquee Tool and click Ctrl + A witch will select all. Then click Ctrl + C to copy your selection and then Ctrl + V to paste your copy. Then just delete the text layer. This will change your font to just an image layout and it will also put your text exactly in the middle of the page.

Step 4. Select the layers bar and right click on the layout that has your text on it and select Blending Options. The check Drop Shadow, Gradient Overlay, Stroke and put the following values in displayed on the images bellow.

You should start to see your image looking something like this image below.

Step 5. Ok now its time to put a little bit of a gloss over your text. You can do this by making a new layer. Then selecting the Rectangular Marquee Tool and grabbing the top half of the text only.

Now get the Paint Bucket Tool and set you foreground color to White. Then in the options set your Opacity to 25%. Now just simply click inside the selected area once and that is the way to make your self a clean and fresh font effect.
