Now go ahead and duplicate your "Shadows" layer by dragging to the new layer icon; then change your new layer mode to Overlay. Now create another layer above all your other layers and name it Color; then ctrl+click (Mac: Command+Click) on your original text layer to make a selection. Choose some yellow or orange color for your foreground and then press alt+delete (Mac: Option+Del) to fill the selection. Finally change your Color's layer mode to Color mode, this will change your text color.
Now to achive a shining effect that will brighten up your effect go ahead and make another layer above all your other layers and name it "Glow". Using a soft airbrush paint over your text and then change the layer mode to Overlay. You may also adjust Opacity slider to achive the desired effect.
Here is the final image after adjusting the "Color"s layer Hue/Saturation. Try experiencing with different colors, this effect works with other colors as well. You may also have noticed that the texture somehow gets in the way, to adjust your texture simply select your original "Shadows" layer and then adjust the Scale slider until satisfied.
