Grunge Text

1. Open a new window, make the size 600x400, with any background color. Mine will be white.

2.Select the Text tool and type out whatever text you want. I typed grunge.

3. Hold down the CTRL button and click on the text layer you just made. It should select the text as the image below shows.

4. Make a new layer.

5. Select the brush tool and select the brush you want to use. I used my grunge brushes. There available on our downloads page.

6. On this new layer just start clicking anywhere with the brush tool selected. Make sure to switch up brushes to get a better more random effect. Here's what I got.

7. You can change the text color or grunge layer color to whatever you want by going to LAYER > LAYER STYLE > COLOR OVERLAY.

8. Also in the LAYER > LAYER SYLES menu you can add a drop shadow and boarder around your text to give it a better look.
