1. First create a new image thats 300x200 pixels, RBG color mode, transparent BG.
2. I chose #3E5E7F as the fill color.
3. Hit "D" and then "X" on your keyboard, this will change your foreground color to white, and your background color to black.
4. I chose "Adler" as my font, also I set the font size to 72. (We will be using the largest default size so it's easier to see and understand).
5. Type your text (preferably all caps), then open the blending options for your text layer. See settings below.
Apply the following settings:
(Stroke) - Size = 1 - Color = #000000 (black)
(Color Overlay) - Any color you want, I chose #24A70E , 100% opacity.
(Bevel and Emboss) - Keep everything at the default settings, just change the size to "0".
(Contour) - Simply click contour, leave all the defaults.
(Inner Shadow) - Blend Mode = Multiply - Opacity = 30% - Distance = 5, Choke = 0, Size = 5 - Leave all the other settings as the defaults.
(Drop Shadow) - Leave all the default settings, just change the opacity to "25%"
6. Hit "OK" and you're done.
You can then change the text and/or color to whatever you want. Experiment with your own blending options, dont be afraid to take chances. Here's the finished product of this simple tutorial:
