We are going to make some cool patterns that can turn a cool sig or image to an even better one! This tutorial will be in 2 parts. First being how to make the patterns and second being how to make them a usable pattern.

Part 1

1. First will be a simple scanline. This can add a cool tv scan look to an image can also add a cool hightech effect to any image. To make this open a new document with the size 1 pixel wide x 2 pixels high and make sure that transperency otherwise this affect wont work! Next choose the pencil tool and have the size to 1 pixel. Choose the color black and fill half the image so it looks like this-

You can then get an affect like this-

2. Next up is a cool grid pattern. Open up a new document 10pixels by 10pixels with a transparent background. Now select the pencil tool with a size of 1px and the color black. Now make an backwards "L" shape on the right side of the box so it looks like this-

You can get an effect like this-

3. Next up is a dot pattern. I think this is a cool effect to use. Open up a new document with the size of 3px by 3px and with a transperent background. Next pick up the pencil tool with a size of 1px and black. Now make a 1px dot right in the middle of the document. Like this-

And you can get this-

4. Next up is a square pattern. This pattern adds a really cool modern effect. So create a new document 9px by 9px or 8px by 8px for a smaller square and then use the pencil tool with a size of 1px and make a box in the document with a 1px gap fromt he sides so it looks like this-

image 7

And you could get soemthing like this-

Part 2
