In this tutorial I will show you how to make a frame from a picture in Photoshop.
1. Choose any image to suit your taste.
2. Using the Single Column Marquee Tool choose the part of the image with the highest number of sharp contrasts and small details.
Using Free Transform (Ctrl+T) stretch this portion so that it takes up the entire space perviously alloted to the whole image.
3. Go to Filter>Distort>Polar Coordinates and select Rectangular to Polar.
4. Increase the size of the image ten times (Image>Canvas Size and add 0 to width and height)
5. Break the image in the ๑enter into 4 equal parts and move them in to the corners of the image, as shown in the illustration. For this you can use rulers (Ctrl+R) and place 2 lines in the center (simply drag them to the center with the ruler using the left button on your mouse, while they are still not "stuck" to it, and then release the button. Having done this, it will be easy to select equal parts using the Marquee Tool (M), and drag them to the edges using the Move Tool (M). But you must be very attentive - they should be flush with the the edges, inside the lines.
6. Using the Single Column Marquee Tool choose an edge of one of the corners and stretch it to the opposite edge of the image using Free Transform (Ctrl+T).
7. Repeat step 5 with the Single Row Marquee Tool.
8. Select all (Ctrl+A) and reduce size to 10%. For this use Free Transform (Ctrl+T) with the following settings.
That's all - zoom image and enjoy!
