Clean Layout

Step One

Create a new document using any size you wish. Here I will use 700px by 500px. Take the Paint Bucket Tool and fill the document using the color #333333. Then, make a new layer. Using the Rectangular Marquee Tool make a selection like below and fill it with #666666.

Step Two

Select Layer 2 from the Layer pallet and navigate your mouse to Layer>Layer Style>Stroke and use the settings, Size: 5px; Position: Outside; Fill Color: #CCCCCC;

Step Three

Select the Pen Tool and draw a horizontal line like below. Thereafter, navigate your mouse again to Layer>Layer Style>Stroke and use the settings, By now, you should have something like below.

Step Four

Now we will do the content area. Here, I will make it simple. But fill free to modify it or make it look different. Take the Rectangular Marquee Tool and make a content box. Fill it using the color #666666. Then, navigate your mouse once again to Layer>Layer Style>Stroke and use the settings, Size: 1px; Position: Outside: Fill Color: #333333; Okay, we are half way through. Take the Pencil Tool and draw two lines like below using the colors #999999 and #333333.

Step Five

Okay, you are almost finish with your layout. On the top-left put your logo and on the right side type your site name and slogan. Put your navigation links between the lines. Your outcome should look something like below. Click the picture to see the full size.

I am aware that I didn't put each step here. For the reason that I want you to use your own creativity while you doing this tutorial.
