Creating Your Very Own Blog Template!

1. First begin with a new canvas, my canvas size is going to be 800*600. Now on a new layer fill your canvas with the following color #2a2a33. And then make a new layer and get your fill tool, and instead of filling the canvas with a foreground color, change it to a pattern as you will be filling it with the Square pattern.

2. Once you've filled your canvas with the pattern, change its blending mode to soft light and the opacity to 10%. Now make a new layer and get your Rounded Rectangle Tool (U) set the radius to 10 px and make a rounded rectangle to the right side of the canvas.

3. Type in your text, i will be using a font called 'Agency FB'.

4. After that duplicate your rectangle into as many buttons you want to have on your blog. And align them each under your first button, then type in the text for each button just like how you did on your first button. Now make a new layer and make a large sized rounded rectangle about 530 pixels in height and 120 pixels in width and align it so that the top of the shape meets the first button you made and fill it with white.

5. Once your done, get an image you want on your blog, i will be using a landscape image i found on the net and put it on top of the rectangle, if it doesn't fit; go back to the white rectangle you made and select it, then go back to the image layer and hold ctrl+I to inverse the selection and then press delete. Now make a new layer and get the rounded rectangle tool (u) and make an even bigger rectangle and fill it with white like the following image:

6. Now, we are almost done, make a new layer and get the rectangle rounded tool (u). Make a rectangle under the buttons you made but make it so that the bottom of the rectangle meets with the bottom of the other white rounded rectangles you made.

And your done! now all you need is text, and you'll have a Complete Blog Template!
