Introduction
Learn to make a smooth orb.

Step 1
Make a new document 500x500 pixels. Make a new layer. Select your Rectangle Marquee Tool and make a fixed size of 90x90 pixels. Fill that in with a light blue colour. You should have something which looks roughly like mine:

Step 2
Now click on the symbol right down from your layers pallete and select stoke. Once you've done that, make the stroke colour dark blue and make its size 1px. You should now have something that looks quite nice at the moment.

Step 3
We will now add some effect to it. Simply click on the symbol right down from your layers pallete and select Inner Shadow. Change your setting to these:

You should now have something that looks similar to mine..

Step 4
Now select your Paint Tool and make your brush size round 100-150px. You need to lower the Opacity to 28% and the Flow to 83%. Also select the mode to Colour Dodge. Click CTRL on your first layer (your orb layer). Make your foreground colour a lighter blue colour. Start giving your orb some effect to it. Try to make it look a little like mine shown below..

Step 5
Now the best bit, adding text to it. Select your Text tool and type in whatever you like, I chose Netcubo as an example. Now make your coloured text black and select the font. Make sure its in the centre. Go to your layers pallete and change the opacity to 50%. You now should have something that looks like this..
