1. This tutorial is very easy as long as you follow the instructions. You may just run your own race, but don't expect to get similar results when doing so. Start off with making a rectangular selection with your rectangular marquee tool. (In this tutorial you have to view the images in full size by clicking them, the version below is smaller than its' actual size.) Create a new layer and call it main. Now fill the selection with a gradient, going from (#DCDCDC) (top) to (#BFBFBF) (bottom). Now the background image im using you should not worry about.

2. Now apply some simple effects using these values:

On textures, just create a pattern similar to mine or leave it out.. It does not have a lot of impact on the final results.

3. Now, below your main layer, create a new layer and call it blue. In this layer, make a selection the same size as your main layer selection, and click your up arrow several times to get a similar result. Now fill it with (#425460)

4.Now go to layer styles and give this layer a 1 px, outside #000000 stroke. Easy.

5.Now click on the type tool and write in your links with some space between them. Make the text white. Give them some drop shadow and a stroke with a gray color, centered, 1px.

6.Create a new layer above your main layer. With your pencil tool, create similar indent lines on each side of your navigation bar. This will style it up a lot!
