Web 2.0 Layout

Let's start making a very new layout style, that's web 2.0 :

Step 1:

Create a new document (Ctrl+N) with bigger 800 width and any height.

Fill the background with #F9F7F7 color.

Pick Rounded Rectangle Tool , Radius = 15px

Draw a half of Rounded Rectangle on the top of document :

Right click on the "rounded rectangle" layer and choose Blending Option, set the information like this :

Now, Ctrl+Click on "Rounded Rectangle" layer, selection will appear on the document.

Go to menu select ~> Modify ~> Contract ~> type 1px, then OK

Pick Rectangular Marquee Tool , hold Alt and remove a half of selection :

Set foreground color to white and pick Gradient Tool , set the option :

Drag a straight line from A to B

Type some texts :

Zoom out your rectangle (Z)

Pick Line Tool , weight = 1px

Draw 2 lines beside each other, one white and one black :

Set the Opacity = 50%

Step 2 :

Pick Type Tool , then type your banner text :

Right click on "Banner Text" layer and choose Blending Option, set the information :

Step 3 :

Pick Rounded Rectangle Tool , Radius = 10px

Draw 2 rectangle on the right of banner text. Right click on the layer and choose Blending Option

Set the information like "Banner text" and you'll have :

Add "Search" text, and this is final result :
