Step 1 : open the image you want to apply the pixel stretch to.
Step 2 : then either select the single column marquee or the single row marquee tool.
Step 3 : now select part of the image with of the marquee tools.
Step 4 : now press ctrl+t...
Step 1 : Start with a new file 300x300, white bg. Set your fg and bg colours to default ( press D)

Step 3 : Now go to Filter > Pixelate > Crystallize and choose any size - preferably a larger size (70-220)...

This is a very easy and simple tutorial to just add a nice and different affect to normal images. This works well with avatars and Sigs. So just give it a try :D

Step 1 - Open Photoshop, make the size 350X350
Step 2 - Go to Layer > New > New layer (or press shift+ctrl+n)
Step 3 - Now select the gradient tool, if you cannot find it, then right click on the paint bucket tool, and the following should come up:...
Step 1: make a new canvas. The size is up to you but you can make it 500x500 like mine.
Step 2: go to filter>render>clouds. You should get something like the below picture. The good thing about the clouds filter is that it comes out different every time.
