A friend of me, Rahul, came up with this idea. He thought it would be cool to turn a "white" girl into a "black" girl ;) It's a very funny and creative effect and you can also try to use it the other way around!

This tutorial is for adding a focus element on a photo that lacks one. For example, in my example image, the main element is not distinguished clearly by the viewer because of the heavy background. Also the background is in the same tonality with the subject and this doesn't help the girl.

Open your image. Here is mine:
Duplicate the layer and on the duplicate use a little Hue/Saturation to add more color to the photo.
Put the duplicate layer on darken mode from the layer blending mode.
Open the image you want to modify. This is mine:
Now zoom to around 6-700% to see the eye extremely large in order to make an accurate selection. Take the pen tool and make the eye shape like in my example. It doesn't have to be perfect. Now right click and choose "Make selection"...
