This tutorial will show you how to create textures from an image. This tutorial isn't about creating textures with white space for the repeat, it is about the harder to make textures that will fill the entire document without a bg.

First open up a new pallet, say 200x200 and a transparent bg. Then write your name on it, and do not rip or whatever else you wanna put there.

First of all you make a new picture and have the background transparent!
Then put the text you want to have on the background
Then go Edit > Transform > Rotate and just rotate a bit.
Step 1. Open a new document. I used 300x150. It does not make a difference.
Step 2. Get your paint bucket tool and fill the background white then select black for your foregroung colour, and find some decent brushes, devianart is a great place!
Start a new document I used size 400x125px and fill it with white. Then find a nice pictire or render. Then pick the stamp tool (near the history brush tool) and chose a brush then press Alt and click on a place that you like. Then click again with the brush before you clicked with a circle...

First create a new pallet, I used 400x150, you can use anything.
Hit D to make sure your colours are set to default. Then go to Filter > Render > Clouds.
You will get something like this:
First press D and then X. Now Black will be your background color, if not set it to background color. Press Ctrl+N to open up a new document. We will be working with a 350x120 px document, choose as background contents: background color (black here). You come up with this now.
