Creating a simple dotted or Dalmatian effect in flash in a simple and fast way will be shown with this simple easy flash tutorial guide. Today you will learn how to create the following dotted or Dalmatian effect in flash mx professional 2004.
1. Open up a new flash document
2. Open up the property inspector and click on Size button to change size to 300 by 80
3. Click on Text Tool on the flash Tool Window or press "T" on your keyboard
4. Change the Text setting in the flash property inspector to "Impact", size of "40" and color as "black" respectively
5. With the setting in flash property setting above, click on the main stage and type "CAMBODIAXP"
6. Click on Arrow Tool on the flash Tool Window or press "V"on your keyboard
7. Select the "CAMBODIAXP" word you have just typed by clicking or it. It is selected when you see a light blue rectangular around it
8. Copy the word by using your mouse's right click and select "copy"
9. Now insert a new layer, do this in timeline
10. Click on Layer 2 to make sure it is selected (You want to pasted the newly copy word into this layer)
11. Click inn the main stage, use mouse's right click and choose "paste in place"
12. Click on the newly pasted word "CAMBODIAXP", on layer 2 and open up the property inspector and change the color to your liking.
13. With flash Arrow tool still selected, click on the newly word on layer 2.
14. Press "Ctrl + B " twice. OR choose "Modify" in the flash menu and chose "Break Apart" two times. The idea here is to break the word "CAMBODIAXP" into shape where we can modify its content later.
15. Select a Lasso Tool in the flash Tool Window or press "L" on your keyboard
16. Click on the main stage of flash document to deselect all selection made earlier. Enlarge your working area by pressing "Ctrl+ =". We enlarge the main stage working area for convenience.
17. Use the Lasso Tool and form a small round shape on part of a character.
18. After small round selection is formed by flash Lasso Tool, Press "Del" on your keyboard to delete that part away.
19. Repeat step 17 and 18 several times for each characters and for every characters in "CAMBODIAXP" until your meet your needs.
20. Test your movie by pressing "Ctrl + Enter"
